We are proud to announce the launch of SoundMind’s Psychedelic Access for Veterans Project. There is an urgent need for effective, accessible mental health interventions for veterans. Not only do 1 in 5 veterans suffer from PTSD, a third report they don’t get the mental health care they need. Every day, 20 US veterans take their own life. As part of this project, SoundMind Institute will develop tailored protocols to provide veterans with psychedelic-assisted therapy. SoundMind Project will support treatment funds for our veteran patients, to subsidize care and enhance access for those who would otherwise be unable to pay. SoundMind Project will also support public education around psychedelic access for veterans, including an upcoming film project to tell the stories of veterans healed through psychedelic medicine. If you are interested in supporting this cause and the veteran work here at SoundMind, please consider donating here.
