 Support the Future of Huachuma

Huachuma cactus—also known as San Pedro—is one of humanity’s oldest known psychedelics, used for nearly 3,000 years in the Andes for healing, connection, and communion with the natural world. But today, its future—along with the traditional and emerging ways of working with it—is increasingly under threat.

Our Vision

We are co-creating a Huachuma Sanctuary in Peru, in partnership with local communities. This space will protect not only the cactus and its native ecosystems, but also the ancestral and evolving wisdom that surrounds it.
Yet this sanctuary is only one branch of a much larger vision. We are working to:
  • Foster dialogue between Indigenous elders and Western-trained psychedelic facilitators
  • Research Huachuma’s healing potential, tracking outcomes and protocols across diverse populations
  • Honor sacred lineages while supporting inclusive, multicultural expressions of psychedelic healing
  • Explore spiritual intersections, such as our Huachuma and Buddhism experiences in Peru, which open new paths for insight and cross-traditional understanding

What Makes Us Different

Conservation can mean many things. To us, it is relational: preserving not just plants, but ways of knowing, ecologies of care, and networks of healing.
We also see conservation as dynamic—not just the act of keeping something the same, but supporting Huachuma’s ability to adapt, interact, and evolve as it meets new people, lands, and cultures. For thousands of years, Huachuma has responded to the needs of those who engage with it. We are listening to how it wants to serve today.
Our work centers the voices, needs, and healing journeys of:
  • 🌈 Queer, trans, and nonbinary individuals, especially those from Latin America who have experienced exclusion or cultural trauma
  • 🧠 Neurodivergent communities, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and alternative ways of perceiving the world
  • ♀️ Women and femmes, especially those navigating healing from misogyny or erasure
  • 🌎 Latin American, Peruvian, and Indigenous lineage-holders, whose lived experience and cultural stewardship are essential
  • 🌱Parents who need healing, to reduce the ripple effects of Intergenerational Trauma

Our Core Values

We are guided by curiosity, play, humility, reverence, and gratitude.
We believe the deepest healing comes from listening—not knowing.

Why Huachuma, Why Now

In a time of ecological crisis and collective fragmentation, Huachuma offers something profound: a return. A reconnection—to ourselves, to community, and to the living Earth.
This is not just a plant. It is a living medicine, and we believe its future depends on how we steward it—not just where it grows, but who it touches, how it’s shared, and the stories we tell about it.
If Huachuma has touched your life—or if you believe in protecting sacred traditions while reimagining them with care and inclusivity—your support matters.
